Randy was born in Santa Monica, California, the son of a career military officer. His family moved every two years to military bases throughout the United States, Europe, and Africa until his father’s retirement in Louisiana during his senior year of high school. Since then, Louisiana has been the home where God placed him and blessed him with a beautiful wife named Dixie, two daughters named Cassie and Ashley, a son-in-law named Archie, and three beautiful granddaughters named Cheyanne, Evelyn, and Reagan. He is a wildlife biologist by profession and a child of God by divine appointment.
Randy was baptized in this church in 1990 and became a member of the church at that time along with his wife and two daughters. As he and his family have been led by God, they have been honored to serve faithfully here in various ministries. By God’s grace, he has had the awesome privilege of teaching one of our Sunday Bible Study classes for adults since 2002. As a teacher and disciple of Christ, God has allowed him and his class to grow spiritually together through the study of his divine Word and given him many opportunities to minister to members of our church family.
Randy’s goals are to love the Lord God (Deuteronomy 6:5), love others (Matt.22:37-38), and obey God’s commandments (John 14:15). His life verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
“I love Jesus Christ and this church body, and I love its faithfulness to Holy Scripture as the only inerrant word of God. May God bless you always!”
