Tommy was born and raised in our church, and God placed him here for a reason. He is married to Cynthia Terrebonne Trant, and they have two wonderful children, Tommy and Trenda, and five grandchildren, Bailey, Gabe, Luke, Blake, and Ainsley, all of whom attend First Baptist Church of Lockport.
Tommy was saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, through His mercy and grace, as a young boy and has served as a deacon at FBC Lockport since Nov. 6, 1983.
Tommy’s desire is to live for Jesus as His servant for as long as He allows him to do so and to stand by his family to the end. Tommy hopes to see Lockport and the other communities along Bayou Lafourche learn about the amazing grace and blessings that our Lord Jesus Christ has for them and to tell of His love and grace, which God freely offers, if only they turn away from sin, turning toward and believing in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their life.
One of his favorite scripture passages is Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight.”
